|Check out “Endless Shore” by French singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Melody Prochet. Her project goes by the name of Melody’s Echo Chamber and this track is off the self-titled LP. Also hear “Impressionist” from graphic art/music crew Young Colossus, and “Flowers Bloom” from High Highs’ self-titled debut EP.|
|Melody’s Echo Chamber – This track offers a lush blend of shoegaze dreaminess, grungy fuzz and psychedelic delay. It was also produced and engineered by Tame Impala member Kevin Parker, which doesn’t hurt.
|Young Colossus is the side project of Orlando Weeks (The Maccabees’ frontman). “Impressionist” shows off gorgeous vocals by Alessi Laurent-Marke, which are supported by tribal-like chanting and perfectly placed electronic glitches. The entire 6 song album is definitely worth a listen, and if you can get your hands on it, the soundtrack accompanies a limited-edition illustrated book.
|High Highs – “Flowers Bloom” is catchy and serene. A gentle fuzz sets the backdrop and wistful, subdued vocals delicately glide over the top. This song is the first track on their debut EP, which was released in 2011.
